A Sponsorship Request Letter

Looking for a sponsor to help pay for Kevin’s keynote?

Sponsoring your event is a great way for a company to get their products, services, and brand in front of your audience.  While of course we don’t want to turn Kevin’s keynote into a commercial, we have creative ways to ensure that your sponsor gets an excellent return on a sponsor's investment.

Who might wish to sponsor? Consider who the other “big players” are in your industry, or the companies that offer products and services to your audience. These may include corporations that supply software or hardware, companies that sell a product or service that can enhance the lives and workplace of your attendees, or associations and organizations who provide support services for your industry.

Feel free to personalize this sample letter when contacting prospective sponsors:

Dear (contact name),

We are reaching out today to inquire if (Company Name) would be interested in sponsoring a presentation for the members of (Your Organization). We would like to enlist Kevin Wanzer, CSP* an experienced, highly-effective motivational comedic speaker to our upcoming conference in (location) to present a closing keynote that will inspire and energize our audience with passion for what they do.

Through his program, Choose ALOHA, Kevin uses humor and storytelling  to share a contagiously-positive, unforgettable mindset that empowers audiences to create and maintain inclusive, positive, productive environments in the workplace and beyond. It’s a huge morale boost, and a fitting culmination to our event.

Kevin Wanzer holds the designation of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) from the National Speakers Association, and has presented to audiences throughout the United States and internationally. You can learn more about Kevin and his programs through his website, www.KevinWanzer.com.

The program would be held on (Date, Time, Location). Your generous sponsorship would be highlighted by (select from following list as applicable):

  • Company name in meeting announcements and promotional materials

  • Your generous sponsorship noted in Kevin’s introduction

  • An opportunity to have a representative from (sponsoring company) introduce the program and Kevin, plus spend a couple of minutes educating us about your company.

  • Free booth space or table to showcase products or services.

  • Signage recognizing contribution at event.

  • Acknowledgement on program materials.

A GREAT IDEA: One terrific way Kevin can help you get a great return on your investment is to sign copies of his book at the sponsor’s booth or exhibit space. A sponsor may choose to buy a book for each attendee, and then Kevin announces from the stage that thanks to (Sponsor Company) everybody gets a book. The audience loves it, and when they come for their books and to meet Kevin for an autograph at your table, they get to meet your company’s representatives right there, too.

At your option, you could provide an insert for the books, or a  sticker for the book with your branding, message, and logo.

Representatives of (Name of Company) would be most welcome to attend so that we could thank you personally for your support.

The estimated audience of (Number) (end-users, support staff, managers, physicians, nurses and other support staff…) would benefit tremendously from your generosity. The cost to sponsor the educational program would be (Cost). I would be very grateful for a telephone call or email to let me know of your interest.

You may reach me at (Phone Number). I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you so much for considering this request.

Sincerely,

Your Signature
